The Études

HK$280.00

The Études is a collection of 12 original compositions by Hong Kong jazz pianist Joyce Cheung. Conceived during the Covid pandemic,  these pieces were written as exercises, inspired by simple musical concepts, rhythmic motifs and chord changes. They eventually grew into twelve Études covering all twelve keys and featuring different instrumental combinations from a trio to a sextet.
They highlight the importance of practice and commitment to one’s craft as a musician.
